This task covers: Repair INITIAL  SETUP Tools Equipment   Condition General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (Item 1, Appendix B) Piston  and  connecting  rod  assembly  removed (para.  5-18) Materials/Parts Camshaft  removed  (para.  6-8). Crankshaft  removed  (para.  6-9). Rags, Wiping (Item 6, Appendix D) Fuel  pump  removed  (para.  4-36). Solvent,  Drycleaning  (Item  7,  Appendix  D) Seal  (P/N  13214E7063) Repair. (figure 6-8) (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) WARNING Drycleaning  solvent  PD-680  used  to  clean  parts  is  potentially  dangerous  to  personnel  and property. Avoid repeated and prolonged skin contact. Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100°F-138°F (38°C-60°C). Clean  crankcase  (1)  with  drycleaning  solvent  and  dry  thoroughly. Inspect crankcase (1) and replace if worn or otherwise damaged. Refer to Table 6-2 for wear limits. Inspect bearing (2) and replace if worn, damaged or defective. Inspect cup (3) and replace if worn, damaged, or defective. Inspect bearing cap studs (4) and replace if threads are damaged. Inspect crankshaft side oil seal (5) and replace if worn, ripped, or defective. 6-16
