Removal -- Continued
2. Remove four self--locking nuts (5), four screws (6), gasket (7) and exhaust elbow (8). Discard self--locking nuts
and gasket.
3. Remove retaining straps (3 and 4) from exhaust elbow (8).

4. Remove 12 self--locking nuts (9) from exhaust manifold (10) at cylinders 1R, 2R, and 3R. Discard self--locking
nuts.
5. Remove exhaust manifold (10) and three gaskets (11). Discard gaskets.
6. Remove retaining straps (3 and 4) from exhaust manifold (10).
NOTE
Remove pipe plugs only if required.
7. Remove three pipe plugs (12) from exhaust manifold (10). Discard pipe plugs.
