Inspect housing assembly (24) for loose or damaged grooved pins (46). Replace grooved pins if defects are found. Repair WARNING 1.   Repair minor raised metal or pitted surfaces caused by ball wear on fan drive hub assembly (22) by polishing with crocus cloth dipped in dry--cleaning solvent. 2.   Remove two grooved pins (46) from housing assembly (24) using an arbor press. WARNING 3.   Remove two retaining rings (47) from two grooved pins (46). Discard retaining rings. 4.   Install two new retaining rings (47) on two grooved pins (46). 5.   Install two grooved pins (46) in housing assembly (24) using an arbor press, until retaining rings (47) contact housing assembly (24).
