TM 9--2815--247--34 0059 00--2 CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT -- CONTINUED 0059 00 Removal -- Continued NOTE There are four different torque wrench adapters. Use the adapter that gives the best clearance for each nut. 2.   Using torque wrench (2) and torque wrench adapter (3), check breaking torque of 14 cylinder base nuts (4). 3.   If torque required is less than 103 lb--ft (140 NSm), remove nut (4), apply antiseize compound to stud (5), install nut (4) and tighten to a torque of 103--105 lb--ft (140--142 NSm). 4.   If nut (4) does not tighten to the recommended torque, stud (5) is stretching and must be replaced. 5.   Mark studs (5) for replacement. Refer to WP 0012 00 for replacement of studs. 6.   Remove all nuts (4) except one on each side of cylinder head assembly (1). Figure 5 4 3 5 1 2
