Inspection -- Continued
4. Check pins (33 and 34) for tightness in the crankshaft flanges and for any out--of--round condition.
5. Measure diameter of pins (34). Replace crankshaft if pins do not meet the limits.
6. Measure diameter of flywheel hub (35) on crankshaft. Replace crankshaft that does not meet the limits.
7. Measure outside diameter of damper hub (36) on crankshaft. Replace crankshaft that does not meet the limits.
8. Measure outside diameter of seven main bearing journals (37) on crankshaft. Replace crankshaft that does not
meet the limits.
9. Measure outside diameter of six connecting rod journals (38) on crankshaft. Replace crankshaft that does not
meet the limits.
10. Measure outside diameter of accessory drive gear mounting flange (39) on crankshaft. Replace crankshaft that
does not meet the limits.
11. Measure inside width of main thrust bearing crankshaft journal (40). Replace crankshaft that does not meet the
limits.
12. Measure inside width of six connecting rod journals (41) of crankshaft. Replace crankshaft that does not meet the
limits.
