Removal -- Continued
11. Remove six slotted nuts (16) from bearing housing (17).
12. Install two 5/16--24 X 3--inch bolts (8), for use as puller screws, into threaded holes provided in bearing housing
(17).
13. Alternately tighten bolts (8) to pull bearing housing (17) from crankcase.
14. Remove and discard preformed packing (18).
15. Remove slide hammer puller (13) and mechanical adapter (12) from shouldered shaft (11).
16. If required to remove spur gear (14) from crankcase, remove crankshaft first. Refer to WP 0064 00.
