Assembly -- Continued
16. Install two shaft retaining plates (7) and two hose clamps (6) on two metal tube assemblies (2 and 3).
17. Join two metal tube assemblies (2 and 3) with a new hose (8) and secure loosely with hose clamps (6).
18. Install a new retaining ring (4) onto straight shaft (1) inboard of the ring groove.
19. Slide straight shaft (1) into two metal tube assemblies (2 and 3).
20. Install two new preformed packings (5) on two metal tube assemblies (2 and 3).
NOTE
Front fan drive shaft assembly is installed with the front
fan tower. Refer to WP 0096 00.
