Remove nut (19) and adjusting screw (20) from each rocker arm.
d. Remove dust cap (11) from each end of shaft (18).

Check rocker arm shaft (18, FIGURE 3-52) run-out as follows:
(1) Place rocker arm shaft on V-blocks, refer to FIGURE 3-54.
