3-27.2.2. Procedure.
a.
Using a flat-blade screwdriver, remove pilot tube seal (1, FIGURE 3-52) from mounting flange end of pump.
CAUTION
Always use holding fixture (refer to FIGURE D-1, Appendix D) to prevent pump from becoming
damaged. Never clamp pump in a vise.
b.
Mount pump in holding fixture.
c.
If damaged, remove connector (1, FIGURE 3-45) and preformed packing (2) from cover.
d.
Remove two screws (3), lockwashers (4), and washers (5) securing governor control cover (6). Remove cap
(86), screw (87), and cup (88). Remove cover (6) with solenoid (16) and gasket (7).
e.
Remove two self-locking nuts (8) from solenoid studs. Remove terminal strap (9), lockwasher (10), and washer
(11).
