TM  5-2815-24134&P WATER    PUMP    REMOVAL  -  CONTINUED ACTION LOCATION ITEM REMARKS 1.  Water  pump  (1) Air  compressor coolant  hose  (2) Using  l-inch  open-end  wrench,  unscrew and  disconnect. Move  out  of  way. 2. Idler pulley Using  11/16-inch  open-end  wrench, locknut   (3) loosen. 3. Idler pulley adjust- ing  screw  (4)  and two  water  pump belts  (5) a. Using   1/2-inch   drive   7/8-inch   socket and  ratchet  handle,  loosen. b. Take off water pump belts and check for cracks. Discard  water  pump  belts  If  defective. 4.  Front  of  cylinder block  (6) Seven  screws  (7), seven  lockwashers (8),  water  pump  (1), and  gasket  (9) a. Using   1/2-inch   drive   9/16-inch   socket, 6-inch  extension,  and  ratchet  handle, unscrew and take off screws and lockwashers. b. Take off water pump and gasket.
