Remove screw (1 1), dog retainer (12), spring (13), dog  set  (14),  and  three  springs  (15)  from  starter  cover (16). NOTE Refer to Figure 6-4,  Starter  Pulley  Replace- ment, for steps b through f. b. c. d. e. f. g. Remove cap (17) from handle (18). Push rope (3) up through handle(18) and untie knot. Remove handle (18) from rope (3). Pull starter pulley (21) approximately ½ in. (12.7 mm) from starter cover (16) and remove spring (20) from starter pulley.
