Removal b.  Installation INITIAL  SETUP Tools Equipment Condition General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (Item 1, Appendix B) Flywheel  Removed  (para. 4-38) a. Removal. (figure 5-10) (1) (2) (3) (4) Remove screw (1) and washer (2) securing clamp (3) and remove wire from clamp (3), and pull wire through bearing cap (4). WARNING Use extreme care when removing coil clamps. Flying clamps can cause severe eye injury. Cover work area with rag or hand when removing clamps. Remove two coil clamps (5), tag and disconnect connectors and remove coil (6). Disconnect low voltage cable (7) from ignition control unit (8). Loosen connector nut (9) and remove low voltage cable (7). b. Installation.  (figure 5-10) (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) 5-24 Route  low  voltage  cable  leads  through  bearing  cap  (4)  and  tighten  connector  nut  (9). Connect low voltage cable (7) to ignition control unit (8). Feed wire through bearing cap (4) and secure wire to bearing cap with clamp (3), screw (1) and washer  (2). Connect  coil  leads  as  tagged. Install coil (6) and secure with two clamps (5).
