Removal. (figure 5-22) WARNING Use  extreme  care  when  removing  coil  clamps,  flying  clamps  can  cause  severe  eye  injury. Cover work area with rag or hand  when  removing  clamps. NOTE Make note of coil leads placement before removing coil. (1) Remove two coil clamps (1) securing coil (2) and remove. (2) Tag and disconnect coil leads. b.  Test. (1) (2) (3) Perform  resistance  test  between  leads  of  coil. Resistance should be 309 ± 20 ohms (for breakerless ignition coil). Resistance should be as follows for breaker point ignition coil.
