Drycleaning solvent PD-680 used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and
property. Avoid repeated and prolonged skin contact. Do not use near open flame or
excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100°F-138°F (38°C-60°C).
Clean bearing cap (1) with drycleaning solvent and dry thoroughly.
Inspect crankshaft bearing cup (2) and bearing (3) for excessive wear, and replace if
table 6-2 for wear limits.
Inspect oil seal (4) and replace if ripped or otherwise damaged.
Inspect bearing cap (1) for cracks or other signs of damage and replace if defective.
