a. Removal.

(1) Remove seven screws (1) and washers (2) securing flywheel cover (3) to engine.
N O T E
The following procedure is for engines that have an ignition switch on flywheel cover.
(2) Remove screw (4), washers (5) and nut (6) securing loop clamp (7).
(3) Remove grommet (8).
(4) Tag and remove ignition wire (9) from ignition switch (10) and remove ignition wire from flywheel
cover (3).

W A R N I N G
Drycleaning solvent PD-680 used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and
property. Avoid repeated and prolonged skin contact. Do not use near open flame or
excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100°F-138°F (38°C-60°C).
(1) Clean flywheel fan cover using dry cleaning solvent.
(2) Inspect rubber grommet (8) and replace if torn or otherwise damaged.
(3) Repair all dents in flywheel cover and repaint as necessary.

N O T E
The following procedure is for engines that have an ignition switch on flywheel cover.
(1) Install ignition wire (9) in flywheel cover (3) and connect wire to ignition switch (10) as tagged.
