2-2. Operators Control and lndicators. The following is a list of operator controls and indicators for
all models of the 6HP Military Standard engine.Although the appearance ofthe engine may vary between
models the location and function of the controls and indicators are similar (figure 2-1).

Used during engine start-up to reduce airflow
through carburetor, making starting easier.
