(3) Zero dial indicator.
(4) Back out hand crank 0.047 in. (1.193 mm) as measure on dial indicator.
(5) With AIR SUPPLY VALVE OFF, turn TIP SEAT PLUNGER LEAKAGE valve ON.
(6) Turn AIR SUPPLY valve ON.
(7) Gently rotate injector plung er in small increments, and watch flowmeter for highest reading.
NOTE
A zero reading on flowmeter indicates no leakage.
(8) If leakage exceeds flowmeter reading of 4.5 units on used or overhauled injector replace plunger and
barrel.
(9) If leakage ex ceeds reading of 2.5 units for 3/3 in. (9.52 mm) barrel or 2.2 for 5/16 in. (7.93 mm) on new
injector, replace plunger and barrel.
