Shaft seals must be spaced so weep hole is not covered.

Using main shaft seal driver, press second seal into front cover assembly with lip of seal facing front of
cover assembly.
NOTE
ST-419 oil seal assembly tool protects oil seals from damage when drive shaft is
installed.

Lubricate ST-419 oil seal assembly tool and slip tool over drive shaft (fuel pump drive coupling end).
CAUTION
TAKE CARE NOT TO MOVE OIL SEALS WHEN INSTALLING DRIVE SHAFT. SHAFT
OIL SEAL LEAKAGE COULD RESULT.

Carefully press pump drive shaft and attached parts into front cover assembly until bearing seats in cover
bore.
NOTE
Look through holes in gear to check that retaining ring is fully engaged in groove.
(15)
Install retaining ring into groove of front cover assembly behind bearing.
