Coat outside diameter of seal with thin film of engine oil.

With ST-1259 oil seal installer, press crankshaft oil seal into position.

Check seal to ensure that it's front face is square with crankshaft axis within 0.010 in. (0.254
mm).

Ensure that new accessory drive oil seal, sealing lip, and ac cessory drive shaft are clean and dry.

Coat outside diameter of new seal with thin film of engine oil.

With ST-1173 mandrel and softface hammer, tap ac cessory drive seal into cover bore. Mandrel
seats seal to required depth.
(18)
Push camshaft to rear as far as it will move.
