Removal -- Continued
CAUTION
Adapter on fuel injectors must be held in place when loosen-
ing injector fuel line tube nuts. Failure to comply with this
caution will result in damage to fuel lines.
10. Loosen 24 fuel injector tube nuts (47) at fuel metering pump (48) and at nozzle and holder (49).
11. Using crowfoot attachment (50), remove fuel injector tube adapter (51) at each nozzle and holder (49).
12. Using crowfoot attachment (50), remove 12 fuel injector tube fittings (52) from fuel injection pump (48).
13. Remove 12 tube assemblies (53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 31, 61, 62, and 63).
14. After tube assemblies have been removed, plug all fuel metering pump ports (64) in fuel injection pump (48) and
plug nozzle and holder (49) to prevent entrance of dirt.
15. Remove 12 self--locking nuts (65) and remove angle bracket (17) and double--angle brackets (13, 5, 6, 7, and 8).
Discard self--locking nuts.
