CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY REPAIR -- CONTINUED

Repair -- Continued
NOTE
The intake and exhaust valve guides are removed from
the cylinder in the same manner. A separate puller is
used for each.
2. Insert screw of puller (26) through the valve guide (17 and 18) and puller (27).
3. Install nut (28) on end of puller screw (26).
4. Preheat entire assembly in oven to 350°F (176°C) maximum.
WARNING
5. Remove assembly from oven and tighten nut (28) to remove valve guide (17 and 18) from cylinder head assembly
(1).
