NOTE
To avoid interference with the starter driven gearshaft, it
is necessary to install lower No. 7 tie rod from the right
side of block.
12. Install 14 tie rods (17) through block and apply a small amount of sealant to one threaded portion of each tie rod.
NOTE
Care should be taken so that tie rods extend equally on
both sides of block.
13. Install seven washers (18), 14 slotted nuts (19), and 14 new cotter pins (20).

time.
