TM 9--2815--247--34 0101 00--1 TORQUE LIMITS 0101 00 GENERAL This work package provides general torque limits for screws and nuts used on the AVDS--1790--8CR Engine. Spe- cial torque limits are indicated in the maintenance procedures for applicable components. The general torque limits given in this work package shall be used when specific torque limits are not indicated in the maintenance proce- dure. TORQUE LIMITS The following tables list lubricants and torques for fasteners used on the AVDS--1790--8CR Engine. HOW TO USE TORQUE TABLES Measure the diameter of the screw, stud, nut, or pipe plug you are installing. Use the appropriate table for nuts and bolts (Table 1), pipe plugs (Table 2) or studs (Table 3). Under the heading SIZE, look down the left hand column until you find the diameter of the screw, stud, nut, or pipe plug you are installing, then read across the table to find the proper torque.
