Check for improperly adjusted valves (refer to paragraph 4.7.2). Adjust valve clearance (refer to paragraph 4.7.2). Check for damaged rocker arms (refer to paragraph 4.7.3). Replace damaged rocker arms (refer to paragraph 4.7.3). Perform end item troubleshooting procedures (refer to TM 9-6115-671-14 or other applicable TM). Check for loose flywheel (refer to paragraph 4.8.1). ABNORMAL ENGINE NOISE Notify next higher level of maintenance. Tighten bolts to specified torque (refer to paragraph 4.8.1).
