Idler pulley lock- Using  1  1/16-inch  open-end  wrench, nut  (4) tighten  idler  pulley  locknut. Air  compressor a. Position on water pump and hand coolant  hose  (5) tighten. a. Using   1/2-inch   drive   7/8-inch   socket and  ratchet  handle,  loosen  Idler  pulley adjusting  screw  and  lower  Idler  pulley. b. Position  water  pump  belts  on  pulleys and,   using   1/2-inch   drive   7/8-inch socket,   ratchet   handle,   and   ST-1274 belt  tension  gage,  tighten  idler  pulley adjusting  screw  to  adjust  idler  pulley  to obtain 120 to 140 lb belt tension. b.  Using  1-inch  open-end  wrench, tighten.
