Inspection
1. Inspect camshaft (6) for cracks. Replace camshaft if cracked.
2. Inspect camshaft lobes (7) and camshaft journals (8) for wear, scuffing and scoring. Replace camshaft when
lobes or bearing surfaces are badly worn, scuffed or scored.
3. Inspect camshaft for stripped or damaged threads in tapped holes (9).

4. Measure the outside diameter of journals (10) and large journal (11) against the following limits.
5. Check maximum out--of--round of camshaft journals (8) with dial indicator (12) against the following limits.
