Place head and rotor assembly on top of holding fixture (FIGURE D-1, Appendix D).

Loosen and remove one governor shaft retainer nut (71, FIGURE 3-45) and seal (72), refer to FIGURE 3-63.

Remove governor shaft (73, FIGURE 3-45), governor arm (44), and linkage hook assembly (46), refer to
FIGURE 3-64.

If damaged, disconnect spring (47) from governor arm (44) and linkage hook assembly (46).

If damaged, disassemble linkage hook assembly, remove screw (74) and washer (75) to separate link assembly
(76) from link hook (46).

Lift liner locating ring (22, FIGURE 3-52) from rotor retainers (23). Remove two rotor retainers (23), refer to
FIGURE 3-65.
