Set multimeter for ohms and touch probes to two segments, refer to FIGURE 3-20. There should be continuity at
any point. If there is no continuity, winding is open circuited. Replace the armature if open circuited.

Set multimeter for ohms and touch one probe to positive brush holder plate and other one to the holder plate,
refer to FIGURE 3-21. There should be no continuity. If there is continuity, replace brush holder.
