a. Removal

Loosen two clamps (1) and slide rubber connector (2) onto turbocharger oil drain tube (3).
Loosen two clamps (4) on hose connector (5) connecting air inlet housing (6) to
turbocharger (7). Slide hose and two clamps onto air inlet housing.
Remove six locking nuts (8) securing turbocharger (7) to exhaust tee (9). Discard locking
nuts.
WARNING
Engine components are heavy. To prevent personal injury, use extreme
caution when removing large components from engine.
CAUTION

Turbocharger is heavy. Use two persons or lifting device to prevent dropping and
damage to turbocharger.
l
Tape all openings of turbocharger after removal to keep foreign particies from
entering and damaging turbocharger blades.
(4) Remove turbocharger (7) and gasket (10). Discard gasket.
