If adapter is removed first, the
coupling can be removed from the

reverse side without removing the
retaining ring.

1. Remove fuel pump drive coupling (1).
a. Using retaining ring pliers (item 79,
from adapter (3). Discard retaining ring.

b. Slide coupling (1) out of adapter (3).

2. Remove adapter (3).
a. Remove six screws (4) attaching
adapter (3) and damper (5) to crankshaft.

CLEANING
1. See Work Package 0028 for Standard Cleaning Procedures.
INSPECTION
All parts must be inspected with care. Replace parts if damage or wear exceeds allowable
limits.
