ENGINE ON MAINTENANCE STAND INSTALLATION/REMOVAL

REMOVAL (FROM STAND)
WARNING
Use of incorrect sling can cause lifting point failure leading to injury
or even death of personnel.
Engine models 2CA and 2DA, use sling Part Number 12257229
(item 38, WP 0176). The front lifting points are as illustrated.
Engine model 2DR uses sling Part Number 11671664 (item 37,
lifting points are located on the damper housing.
1.
Attach sling (1) to hoist and to engine (2) at lifting eyes.
2.
Take slack out of sling (1).
3.
Remove four screws (5) with flat washers (6) from stand (3).
4.
With helper guiding engine (2), lift engine out of stand (3).
5.
Move stand (3) from under engine (2).
6.
With helper guiding engine (2), lower engine onto flat surface.
7.
Remove sling (1) from engine (2) and hoist.
