CAUTION
Do not use heating torch to remove camshaft gear from camshaft if camshaft gear is to be
reused. Heating will damage camshaft gear.
NOTE
Prior to step 1, clean and inspect camshaft and camshaft gear (steps 6, 8, and 9). Do not
separate camshaft and camshaft gear unless damaged or not within wear limits.

a. Put in press.
b. Put V-blocks under camshaft
Ensure V-blocks support

c. Using press, remove camshaft

d. Remove gear-to-camshaft key (4).
