NOTE
Repair of oil pan is basically the same for M915/Big Cam I and M915A1/Big Cam III. Big
Cam I engines are equipped with a cast aluminum oil pan. Big Cam III engines are
equipped with a stamped steel oil pan.
For M915/Big Cam I, it may be necessary to remove engine oil heater part of optional
winterization kit. Refer to TM 9-2320-273-34. For engine oil heater thermostat removal,
refer to TM 9-2320-273-20.
