22. When backlash is removed, and the flat sides of coupling sleeves (19 and 20) are aligned, tighten four bolts (23)
to 23--27 lb--ft (31--37 NSm).
23. When flat sides of coupling sleeves (19 and 20) do not mate when backlash is removed, the coupling sleeves
must be separated and reset. Repeat steps a.10, 11 and c.10 and 18 through 22.

24. Remove two pipe plugs (47) from sleeve (20). Discard pipe plugs.
25. Install reducer pipe (48) and lubrication fitting (49) into sleeve (20).
CAUTION
Overfilling of coupling cavity will result in failure of cou-
pling seals.
26. Lubricate coupling through lubrication fitting (49) with lubricant (item 9, WP 0100 00). Discontinue adding lubrica-
tion when it shows in the hole on opposite side of coupling.
27. Remove reducer pipe (48) and lubrication fitting (49) and install two new pipe plugs (47).
