GOVERNOR THROTTLE CONTROL ROD ASSEMBLY REPAIR -- CONTINUED

Repair
1. Remove two rod end plain bearings (5) from control rod (6) by drilling out two solid rivets (7) with 1/8 inch drill.
Discard solid rivets.
2. Install two new rod end plain bearings (5) and secure to control rod (6) with two new solid rivets (7).

Assembly
Install four rod end bearing spacers (2) and two new rod end boots (1) on governor control rod assembly (3).

FOLLOW--ON MAINTENANCE:
Install injection pump, transmission throttle linkage and
associated parts (WP 0049 00)
