Assembly
1. Install new oil seal spring (1) onto crankshaft (3) by twisting the male end counterclockwise and the female end
clockwise.
2. Apply lubricant (item 15, WP 0100 00) to crankshaft (3) before installing new split oil seal (2).
NOTE
Groove in split oil seal must face damper end of crank-
shaft.
3. Install new split oil seal (2) onto crankshaft (3) and position oil seal spring (1) in split oil seal (2) such that splits in
each piece are 180° apart.
4. Apply lubricant (item 15, WP 0100 00) to outside of split oil seal (2).
