EXCESSIVE OIL LOSS

Check for cracked or broken front gearcase cover.

Check for defective seals and gaskets.
Replace faulty seals and gaskets as required.

Check for leaking rear cover oil seal or gaskets.
Replace rear cover oil seal or gaskets (paras. 3-25 and 3-80).

Check for moisture in crankcase.
Isolate the source and repair as required.
Inspect for tears on head gaskets cylinder openings.
