h. Inspect compressor housing.

(1)

Check compressor housing-to-bearing housing inside diameter. Old part limit is 5.400 in. (137.160 mm).

Replace housing if diameter exceeds 5.406 in. (137.312 mm). (1984 models, disregard this step.)

(2) Check housing for compressor wheel-to-housing contact. Small chips or scratches can be blended with crocus

cloth.

(3) Check housing for cracks or distortions. Replace if cracked or distorted.
