Disconnect throttle control system, refer to end item maintenance manual.

Disconnect fuel supply line (FIGURE 3-41) from fuel injection pump.
g.
Disconnect fuel tube assembly (6, FIGURE 3-41) from fitting (15) on fuel injection pump.
h.
Disconnect four fuel injection lines (11, 12, 13, and 14)from fuel injection pump.
i.
Remove injection pump cover plate from timing gear cover, refer to FIGURE 3-43, cover shown removed.
NOTE
Be careful not to drop nut and/or washer inside engine.
j.
Remove nut and washer securing fuel injection pump drive gear to shaft.
k.
Install injection pump drive gear puller (JDG670) to injection pump gear and shaft. Follow mounting instructions
provided with tool set, refer to FIGURE 3-44.
