Discard  Iockwashers. Lift oil pump assembly (6) off main bearing caps (7) and four studs (8). NOTE Mark  quantity  and  location  of  shims on  main  bearing  caps.  Shims  must be  installed  in  same  location  as removed. (4) Fl~p~fi  shims (9) from main bearing . . (5) If necessary, remove four studs (8) from  main  bearing  caps  (7). 4-124 Change 1
